Welcome to Coiffure Kotas – your hairdresser in Meilen! In our spacious hair salon with eight stations and a view of Lake Zurich, we offer excellent value for money. We specialize in all types of haircuts. Of course, we also offer coloring and perms.

We are known for our fast yet precise work. To date, we have passed on our comprehensive expertise to around 40 apprentices.

History and team

Hans Kotas, a qualified hairdresser from Vienna, opened the business in 1953. In 1978, his son Alexander Kotas, who qualified as a hairdresser in 1980, took over the salon and still runs it today together with his wife.

We don't offer updos or formal hairstyles, but we do offer dance classes so you can shine at your wedding. Alexander Kotas has been a part-time dance teacher at Migros Club Schools for almost 40 years, teaching Latin and standard dances.

What Coiffure Kotas has to offer

We specialize in all types of haircuts. Whether for women, children, or men, we will find a hairstyle that suits you. We are also skilled in the Sassoon technique developed by Vidal Sassoon, a very precise and accurate cutting technique.

Would you like a new hair color? We can give you a new look with highlights or coloring. Ammonia-free colors are also available on request. We work with EOS plant-based color from Wella or pure plant-based henna without artificial additives for particularly sensitive scalps.

For colors and care products, we rely on products from L'Oréal Paris, and for perms, we work with products from Goldwell.
