The Swiss Football Association (SFA) is the umbrella organization of national football. It was founded in 1895 and in 1904 was one of the seven national associations that founded the world football association FIFA. Today, the SFA is one of the most important sports associations in the country. The SFA is divided into three divisions and has 1,389 clubs, 14,206 teams and 273,644 licensed players. The association is based at the Haus des Schweizer Fussballs in Muri and Dominique Blanc has been its president since July 1, 2019.

SPONSORING QUESTIONS

Every year, the SFA receives numerous requests for support and/or sponsorship for various projects, events and organizations. To ensure that applicants are aware of the terms and conditions that the SFA applies to such requests, these are briefly summarized below

The SFA considers requests:

• from a football club registered with the SFA or an SFA regional association
• that are directly related to the advantage and benefit of football
• that comply with the SFA mission statement of the SFA
• that concern a one-off project or event
• that do not concern merchandising items signed by SFA players or coaches
   

The SFA will not consider, among others NO requests:

• for construction projects (not even for football pitches)
   

You are requested to submit the requests in writing and provide the following information:

• Name of the requesting association or regional association
• Association register number
• Address of the association or regional association
• Contact person
• Objectives of the project or event
• Project or event description with timetable
• Presentation of existing or potential project/event supporters/sponsors and indication of contributions received or to be received from these supporters/sponsors
• A list of contributions received or potentially to be received for the project/event from an SFV regional association

We are happy to receive your request by email . Unfortunately, telephone inquiries cannot be processed. As requests are only reviewed every two months, they must be submitted in good time. Requests that meet the above terms and conditions will be answered by the SFV with a confirmation of receipt. The requestor will be informed at a later date as to whether their request has been approved or rejected.
