The municipal building with all administrative departments is located in the municipal building built in 1989 at Rümlangstrasse 8 in Oberglatt. The works services can be found at Bülachstrasse 17. The municipal bailiff's and debt collection office has been located in Rümlang since 2010. The civil registry office is located at the Dielsdorf municipal administration, Mühlestrasse 4, 8157 Dielsdorf.

Oberglatt is an agglomeration municipality with around 7,300 inhabitants and a good infrastructure. The village has its own multi-purpose hall with football pitches, outdoor sports facilities and a pump track (under construction as of June 21).

Many hiking trails cross our village, and the local recreation area of the old and new Glatt rivers is one of the most important and attractive old water landscapes in the canton of Zurich. The nature reserve around the airport offers a variety of flora and fauna.
