The municipal building, which houses all administrative departments, is located at Rümlangstrasse 8 in Oberglatt and was built in 1989. The public works department is located at Bülachstrasse 17. Since 2010, the mayor's office and debt collection office have been located in Rümlang. The civil registry office is located at the Dielsdorf municipal administration, Mühlestrasse 4, 8157 Dielsdorf.

Oberglatt is an agglomeration municipality with around 7,300 inhabitants and good infrastructure. The village has its own multi-purpose hall with soccer fields, outdoor sports facilities, and a pump track (under construction as of June 21).

Many hiking trails cross our village, and the local recreation area of the old and new Glatt rivers is one of the most important and attractive backwater landscapes in the canton of Zurich. The nature reserve around the airport offers a variety of flora and fauna.
