In 2003, I took over the Schmid Holzbau carpentry business from Hansueli Schmid, which I renamed Brunner Holzbau after 10 years in 2013.

We were able to specialize in agricultural buildings. However, it was important for us to also be active in the other sectors that timber construction offers, so that we don't lose our versatility.

We need the saw mainly for our own needs and for the production of moonwood and quality wood from the Diemtigtal valley.

Moonwood

Moon wood or moon phase wood refers to wood from trees that have been felled in accordance with the lunar forestry calendar.

The use of moon wood in timber construction is not witchcraft. It is an old tradition that is still valid today, but is in danger of being lost in our fast-moving times. It doesn't matter whether you believe in the positive properties of moon wood or not - just try it out and gain experience.
