The Olten Tourism Association was founded in 1983. Since 2010, a modern tourist center has been operating at Frohburgstrasse 1, a two-minute walk from Olten train station, which is open Monday through Saturday.

Region Olten Tourism is committed to the development, marketing, and positioning of tourism offerings, particularly for the three districts of Olten, Gösgen, and Gäu, and serves as a central point of contact. The association has 250 members from all relevant sectors.

In 2016, the Swiss Writers' Trail was created, a tourist attraction that is recognized as a USP throughout the industry. Audio tours at over 70 listening stations allow visitors to enjoy stories and songs by over 20 authors.
