Artisan bakers, pastry chefs, and confectioners from Vaud in Pully - Lausanne
The Society of Artisan Bakers, Pastry Chefs, and Confectioners of Vaud is a cooperative society whose main objectives are:
- to defend the interests of the industry and its members;
- providing basic and continuing professional training for the bakery, pastry, and confectionery sector;
- the promotion of artisan bakery, pastry and confectionery.
The members of the association represent artisan bakers, pastry chefs, and confectioners working in the canton of Vaud (Switzerland). They are divided into eight local divisions (sections) and two interest divisions.
The Society has the following objectives:
- Safeguarding interests in the economic and political context;
- representing interests vis-à-vis partners, public opinion, authorities, and competitors;
- Training and professional development in the bakery, pastry, and confectionery trades;
- Guaranteeing the quality and diversity of craftsmanship and raw materials;
- Caring for the image of its members;
- promoting solidarity among artisans and the identity of bakers, pastry chefs, and confectioners;
- employment policy and social policy specific to the sector;
- assistance in calculating market prices for products;
- advertising and raising public awareness;
- providing industry-specific information and professional knowledge;
- maintaining relations with other organizations pursuing the same goals.
The main services we provide to our members are:
A whole range of services is available to members to make their work easier, reduce administrative tasks, and offer solutions tailored to the craft industry.
Members can contact the Swiss Association of Bakers and Confectioners (SBC) directly or go through the Vaud Cooperative Society of Artisan Bakers, Pastry Chefs and Confectioners.
Services specific to our organization:
- Management of the association's affairs and various departments;
- Management of apprentice training;
- Professional advice to members;
- Advice and practical assistance in handling specific member cases ("secretarial assistance");
- Legal assistance in the field of labor legislation;
- Representation on various cantonal economic committees;
- promotion and advertising of the industry's products and craftsmanship;
- dissemination of educational and awareness-raising courses for various organizations.
