The family-run Sunnsyta retirement and nursing home run by the municipalities of Bönigen, Iseltwald, Niederried, Oberried, Ringgenberg and Wilderswil was opened in 1984. It is situated slightly elevated below the Hardergrat ridge with a view of Lake Brienz in the immediate vicinity of the village center, making it an attractive home away from home.

In the immediate vicinity there is a garden area with benches, a rabbit warren and a beautiful walnut tree that invites you to linger, as well as level walking paths.

You can reach public transport, the bank, doctors' surgeries, restaurants and a grocery store with a post office in just a few minutes on foot.
