KUURE Sagl is a Home Care and Assistance (Spitex) service intended for any person who temporarily or permanently needs support as a result of:

• illness
• injury
• disability
• old age
• social and family difficulties

KUURE Sagl examines the requests for services, assesses the need and priority of the intervention and defines in agreement with the user a plan for taking charge: optics that allow the non-self-sufficient person to be able to stay as long as possible at home, receiving help to organize and make the best use of their resources.

KUURE  Sagl analyzes the patient's needs in depth with the help of the RAI-Home-Care computer program as recommended by the Department of Health and major health insurers.

KUURE Sagl operates throughout the Mendrisiotto area.

OUR MISSION
Home care and nursing is a service provided directly in the homes of patients whose main mission is to develop the individual and collective potential of those who apply for intervention, in order to make and keep these people as independent as possible from inpatient social-health facilities (for short or long periods).
Home care and nursing services promote, maintain and/or restore the individual's bio-psycho-social health status aiming at maximum recovery and maintenance of physical autonomy.

The PHILOSOPHY OF CARE
Care is provided according to the principles of individual rights:

• every person has the right to scientifically recognized health care services
• the services must be appropriate to the need for care while respecting the principles of freedom, dignity and integrity of the human person and taking into account the criterion of health effectiveness and the principle of cost-effectiveness.

CARE PERFORMANCE
Care services are provided as nursing interventions tending to bring prevention, relief and healing to the suffering person; as well as domestic help services.
Care means basic care and medical-therapeutic care.

The GUARANTEE
We guarantee the patient's right to be informed about any kind of treatment that affects his or her person. In individuals who are incapable of discernment, this right will be given to their legal representative, failing that, to the person closest to and caring for them.

Basic care are those services that ensure vital functions and give rise to a set of activities that allow continuity of life and include in particular:

• full bedside hygiene
• partial hygiene in bed or at the sink
• full hygiene in bath or shower
• hygiene of the orifices of the face
• hygiene of the genitals and sacrum
• frictions, massage for prevention of pressure ulcers
• hair washing
• manicure and pedicure
• dressing or undressing
• bed-making both empty and occupied
• oral hydration
• feeding with full aid
• partial aided feeding
• use pan
• use parrot
• manual emptying of the rectum
• use of protective means
• mobilization
• positioning and comfort in bed
• mobilizing outside or inside the bed
• raising and assisting during ambulation
• passive and/or active mobilization exercises
• accompanying and assisting in walking outside
• limb bandaging
• application of cold dispensers
