The financing of care services (care financing) is regulated by law. The rates for care services are set annually by the cantons or municipalities. The client, health insurance companies, and the canton or municipalities must contribute a share of the established care rate. As a beneficiary (customer), in accordance with Art. 25a of the Federal Health Insurance Act (LAMal), the customer contributes 10% of the deductible. Basic care prescribed by a doctor is covered by health insurance. Care services prescribed by a doctor are covered by your health insurance. The customer contributes 10% of the deductible.

We believe that each individual's world is represented by their environment and the people around them. It is especially during times of fragility, such as old age or the onset of illness, that the environment can provide the resources necessary to meet these needs.

Our team works closely with family members and trusted individuals to ensure that our clients can remain in their own homes for as long as possible.

To this end, we always use the same carefully selected staff. They are diligent people who strive to meet the needs and habits of each individual. It is our best response to the need for closeness and continuity of our clients.

Mission

To give people directly affected by illness, injury, disability, old age, loneliness, or social and family difficulties the opportunity to remain in their own homes by offering them services, advice, and meetings organized with their social and family network and/or specialists.

How we operate

We operate effectively and safely, valuing the abilities of the user, in collaboration with caregivers, making use of
environmental resources. We provide care and assistance with professionalism, trust, understanding, warmth, and kindness, based on Virginia Henderson's scientific model.

Services and benefits

1) Initial assessment:

• Assessment of the user and the environment in which they live, consultation with the patient, caregiver, and/or family.
• Advice and instructions, application of safety measures to promote better adaptation to the situation.
• Communication and coordination with social services (physical therapist, occupational therapist, home meal delivery, social workers, caregivers, day centers, etc.).

2) Prevention:

• Assessment and activation of anti-decubitus prophylaxis through the use of targeted aids (if necessary).
• Fall prevention and application of safety measures, anti-decubitus prevention.

3) Education:

• Teaching the user and family about medical and technical procedures.
• Teaching preventive measures.

4) Specific nursing procedures:

• The service has nurses specialized in palliative care (if required) for cancer cases and terminal cases (end of life). It actively collaborates with hospices, social workers, the Lung League, and the relevant cancer center.
• Coordination of measures in complex or critical cases.
• Respiratory support (preparation and assistance during inhalations, aerosols, oxygen/therapy, simple breathing exercises, suctioning).
• Care and management of Covid-19 positive users; trained staff prepare a safe environment at home that is suitable for isolation. Uses appropriate equipment to ensure the safety of themselves, family members, or people in close contact with the user. On medical advice, performs rapid swab tests at home and informs the user of the results.
• Monitoring of nutrition/diets for users with diabetes, kidney disease, or heart disease.
• Insertion of probes and catheters for elimination, with appropriate care.
• Care in cases of urinary and intestinal evacuation disorders, preparation and administration of medication.
• Enteral and parenteral administration of nutritional solutions, infusions, perfusions for hydration and administration of medication. Treatment of wounds (ulcers, bedsores, diabetic wounds, surgical wounds), in collaboration with the relevant wound care center.
• Colostomy, nephrostomy, urostomy, suprapubic catheter, and PEG dressings.
• Monitoring vital signs, blood sampling for diagnostic tests.
• Partial/complete medical baths, application of compresses.
• Assistance with nursing procedures (coordination in emergencies or critical situations).
• Monitoring of glycemic profile and/or daily blood sugar levels.
• Administration of heparin or intramuscular and/or subcutaneous injections as prescribed by a doctor.
• Administration of eye drops upon medical or specialist prescription.

5) Basic care and assistance services:

• Leg bandaging, positioning/removal of elastic compression stockings.
• Help with undressing/dressing. Help with general personal hygiene.
• Supervision in cases of malnutrition or dehydration.

6) Services not covered by health insurance:

These services will be provided on a fee-for-service basis at a cost of CHF 37 to the patient if they do not have supplementary or private insurance. The invoice will be sent separately by regular mail or email.

• Preparation of meals and/or preparation of meals following specific diets for medical conditions.
• Housekeeping: cleaning, tidying, and reorganizing the home.
• Laundry, sewing, mending, pet care.
• Companionship and, on request, walks.
• Food planning, menu planning, and shopping.

LIMIT ON THE DURATION OF CARE AND SUBSIDIARITY OF THE INTERVENTION:

From the start of the service until recovery or independence is achieved, or end of life, or permanent admission to a facility or hospital.

SERVICE HOURS: 7 days a week, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

OUR SERVICES ARE AIMED AT PATIENTS AGED 16 AND OVER.
