In our practice at the Villa im Park clinic in Rothrist, we specialize in the neurosurgical treatment of spinal disorders and chronic pain syndromes.

We always keep our treatment methods up to date through regular training and further education. Many years of clinical and surgical experience as well as the concentration and specialization on selected clinical pictures ensure medical quality and professionalism.

Philosophy
The pursuit of the most up-to-date knowledge in theory and practice for the most effective therapy for my patients makes up my work as your treating physician. Services
In order to treat your illness in the best possible way, the right therapy is required. After the initial examination and any necessary diagnostic measures, we will discuss possible treatment options with you and draw up an individual treatment plan. It is always important to exhaust all conservative treatment options first.

Should surgery nevertheless be necessary, we offer both outpatient and inpatient neurosurgical treatment at the clinic. In order to minimize the stress for you during and after an operation, we use gentle and function-preserving (so-called microsurgical minimally invasive) surgical techniques.

Operative
Inpatient surgical treatments

• Herniated disc in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine (disc hernia)
• Narrow spinal canal in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine (spinal canal stenosis)
• Spinal joint cysts (synovial cysts)
• Nerve tumors in the area of the lumbar spinal canal (neurinomas)
• Fatty tissue tumors in the area of the lumbar spinal canal (lipomas)

Outpatient surgical treatments

• Nerve bottleneck syndromes in the area of the hand and elbow (carpal tunnel syndrome and sulcus ulnaris syndrome)

Conservative treatments as part of special pain therapy

• Acute and chronic back pain (lumbago)
• Back pain with radiation to the legs (lumboischialgia; spinal claudication)
• Neck-shoulder-arm pain (cervicobrachialgia)
• Head and neck pain (cervicocephalgia)
• Vertebral arthrosis (osteochondrosis, spondylarthrosis, facet joint arthrosis)
• Arthrosis in the area of the sacroiliac joint (SI joint blockage)
