The non-profit foundation Kifa Switzerland has been caring for infants, children and young people in need of care throughout German-speaking Switzerland since 1991. It employs 140 care professionals who provide around 40,000 hours of Spitex care per year.

Related care is the be-all and end-all at Kifa. Relational care means that a fixed team is put together for your child.

Family-centered care takes the entire family into account and offers targeted support through advice and relief.

More than care
Families whose children are cared for and looked after by Kifa benefit from additional relief services. With the help of donations, it provides 7 services to relieve the burden on families with children and young people in need of care.

Care costs-subsidy
Kifa covers the costs not covered by the IV, health insurance and the municipalities.

Immediate assistance
Kifa finances care hours if, for example, additional care hours are required due to the absence of a parent. It also helps with the financing of aids that are not covered by IV or health insurance.

Holiday week
Every year, 9 to 12 children with a disability or chronic illness enjoy a varied vacation week.

KITAplus
The project enables the inclusion of children with special needs in daycare centers for normally developing children.

"Giving time" for siblings
The "Giving time" relief project enables siblings to spend exclusive time with the parents or a parent of children in need of care.

Music therapy "Music works"
The outpatient music therapy promotes the well-being and development of the children.

Holiday bed
The vacation bed allows parents and siblings to take a break from the rigors of everyday care with the option of planning the time of the visit individually.
