Relief for children and adolescents requiring intensive care and their families
The non-profit foundation Kifa Switzerland has been caring for infants, children, and adolescents in need of care throughout German-speaking Switzerland since 1991. 140 nursing professionals are employed for this purpose and provide around 40,000 hours of Spitex nursing care per year.
Relationship-based care is the be-all and end-all at Kifa. Relationship-based care means that a fixed team is put together for your child.
Family-centered care takes the whole family into account and offers targeted support through counseling and respite care.
More than just care
Families whose children are cared for and looked after by Kifa benefit from additional respite services. With the help of donations, it provides 7 services to relieve families with children and young people in need of care.

Every year, 9 to 12 children with disabilities or chronic illnesses enjoy a varied vacation week.
KITAplus
This project enables the inclusion of children with special needs in daycare centers for normally developed children.
"Giving time" for siblings
The "Giving time" respite project enables siblings to spend exclusive time with their parents or one parent of children who require intensive care.
Music therapy "Music works"
Outpatient music therapy promotes the well-being and development of children.
Holiday bed
The holiday bed allows parents and siblings to take a break from the demanding daily routine of caregiving, with the option of planning the timing individually.
