Founded in 1949, Coloral SA is a family-owned subcontracting company.
Coloral comes from Coloration de l'aluminium (aluminum coloring), the company's historic activity, with over 65 years of experience in the field. The technique used to color aluminum is called anodizing, eloxal coating, or anodic oxidation. It involves transforming the surface of aluminum into aluminum oxide. As the aluminum oxide layer is porous, when the oxidized parts are immersed in a dye bath, the layer absorbs the dye through capillary action. Aluminum oxide is a ceramic, which gives the treated parts greater hardness and better corrosion resistance.
Keen to provide its customers with ever more comprehensive solutions, Coloral SA has diversified into machining since the 1980s. Significant investments have been made in this area over the last ten years and the company now has a machine park of around ten CNC lathes, two CNC milling centers, and two CNC machining centers (turning-milling).
Primarily active in the watchmaking industry, Coloral SA is proud to also offer its services to the medical, machine tool, mechanical, and electronics sectors.
