With a Federal Certificate of Competence in cabinetmaking, Hugues Chessex has developed solid skills in woodworking, particularly while working in furniture restoration.

As a cabinetmaker, he learned early on to work meticulously, pay attention to detail, and deliver precise work with high-quality results.

Hugues Chessex has a total of 25 years of professional experience, including 22 years with a carpentry company where he was workshop manager.

Self-employed since 2000, he works in both the residential and professional sectors. He has been working for many years in partnership with the Geneva University Hospitals (H.U.G.), the Swiss Federal Railways (C.F.F.), Swisscom, La Poste, banks, and hotels.

Working methods and values

We generally visit the customer's premises to provide a free, no-obligation quote. Together with the customer, we analyze the projects, examine the color choices, and consider the layout.

As we are not designers, we work with architects whose plans serve as the basis for our work.

Our projects are carried out with respect for the environment and the ideology of sustainable development: we sort materials, favor sustainable applications, and avoid waste as much as possible. In addition, we carefully check the origin of the materials we use and ensure that they are FSC-certified (materials from renewable forests).
