Why natural medicine? What is so special about it?
"Biological medicine does not treat diagnoses or symptoms, but the whole person!"
Naturopaths advocate largely avoiding pharmaceutical products with their often dangerous side effects. They speak the language of their patients, and it is very important to us to help them understand how physical and mental well-being are connected.
Naturopaths are independent, free from influences and interests, such as those of the pharmaceutical industry or other lobbyists. They call a spade a spade and are committed to the well-being of their patients.
Physiotherapy treatment is based on the patient's symptoms and functional, movement, and activity limitations, which are determined during the physiotherapeutic examination. It utilizes both the diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills of the therapist, as well as their educational and manual skills. If necessary, it is supplemented by natural physical stimuli (e.g., heat, cold, pressure, radiation, electricity) and promotes the patient's own activity (coordinated muscle activity and conscious perception). The treatment is adapted to the patient's anatomical, physiological, motivational, and cognitive conditions. The treatment aims, on the one hand, to elicit natural, physiological responses from the organism (e.g., muscle building and stimulation of metabolism) and, on the other hand, to improve understanding of how the organism functions (dysfunctions/resources) and to encourage patients to take responsibility for their own bodies. The goal is to restore, maintain, or promote health and, very often, to eliminate or reduce pain.
