Description
Your environmentally conscious driving school in Wallisellen and the surrounding area
Hello and welcome to my homepage at Baier Driving School. In times of climate change, the question of man-made or not and what each individual can do to keep their ecological footprint as small as possible, the question of driving a car yes or no naturally arises.
I too have been dealing with the topic of environmental protection for years, whether professionally (as a driving instructor, eco-trainer, presenter, etc.) or in my private life. How can I personally take care of the climate, what is sensible and sustainable and what makes no sense at all?
So I also came to the question of all questions: which type of drive is the right one? Internal combustion engines such as gasoline, diesel, gas? Electric motors? Hybrid drive, i.e. a combination of combustion engines and electric motors?
Or the fuel cell drive, which converts hydrogen into energy while "only" producing water vapor?
Countless further education courses and lectures have taught me that it is a question of faith as to which drive I choose as a means of transportation. The key question is how do I obtain the raw material I need?
If, for example, diesel and petrol are produced synthetically (which unfortunately is not yet the case, we still use fossil fuels in the majority of cases), an internal combustion engine is also Co2 neutral. However, this process requires a lot of electricity, which is why this must be produced sustainably (wind, water, sun).
As things stand today, electromobility will be used for city and conurbation driving in the future, while combustion engines will be used for traveling.
Since I mainly travel in the city and nearby conurbations, I decided in December 2019 to no longer offer driver training on a vehicle with an internal combustion engine (fossil fuel), but with a purely electrically powered car, in line with the motto "try instead of study". I bought a Tesla Model 3 and am giving you the opportunity to form your own opinion. What do you think about electromobility? Get to know it in everyday use and compare it with a vehicle with a combustion engine.
"Only those who are open to new things can broaden their horizons."
With this in mind, here's to electrifying training, have fun and see you soon at Baier Driving School.
