Expertise, finesse, care, a love of nature, and a little bit of wine obsession: these are the ingredients for Steimer Weinbau wines, alongside the 10 grape varieties grown. With passion, the winemaker and his expert team at the foot of the Lägern slope nurture and care for the grapes, which are vinified into high-quality wines.
The Riesling-Sylvaner in particular has been one of the hallmarks of the Wettingen winery for years, and the Pinot Noir in various variations – matured in steel tanks or barriques, for example – is a highly appreciated accompaniment to food. The full-bodied Herrenberg Exklusiv is of course a delight and can hold its own against other great Pinot Noirs.
Thanks to low yields, selective hand-picking of fully ripe grapes, and solid winemaking skills of the highest standard, the wines impress with their aromatic clarity and fruitiness.

Viticulture in harmony with nature
The vineyard above the municipality of Wettingen is cultivated according to strict ecological guidelines and in harmony with nature. "In the vineyard, in addition to lizards, songbirds, and other animals, the soil, the vines, the grapes, and perhaps even the stones have a soul," says winemaker Christian Steimer. This responsibility towards nature and thus towards wine lovers is lived out every day—and you can taste it in the wines from Steimer Weinbau.
