In 1992, we took over the farm in Buch from our parents. A farm pub had been operating next to the farm since 1932. We had bigger plans and converted the former barn into an attractive room for events. We are now able to cater for groups of 20 to 45 people.
At the Hirschen, all guests should feel at home straight away. We often serve walkers and hikers who come from the region between Winterthur and Frauenfeld. Picturesque hiking trails lead to us from Wiesendangen, Elsau or Elgg, treat yourself to a refreshment with our cold platters, homemade farmhouse bread or a Bauernschüblig. Craftsmen and construction workers from the surrounding area like to enjoy their snacks with us. For larger events, we hire additional temporary staff for service and a cook for the hot dishes.
The Vogt couple keep the family business running with a lot of love, to which they devote themselves body and soul in addition to the farm.
