Patent holder and co-inventor of the NIMO-T wireless temperature probe.
Dr. U. Schärli Geology+Geophysics was founded in 2000 by Dr. Ueli Schärli. He completed his education at ETH Zurich in geology and geophysics. He successfully completed his dissertation in geothermal energy in 1989.
Dr. U Schärli is the patent holder and co-inventor of the cable-free temperature measuring probe NIMO-T.
He also developed a measurement method for determining the specific heat capacity of rock samples.
The company is primarily involved in the design and monitoring of geothermal plants and hydrogeological investigations. It is also increasingly conducting building site investigations.
In the laboratory, thermal rock properties can be measured and geotechnical investigations of loose rock can be carried out. The company also regularly participates in geothermal research projects.
