The Backbar in Zurich's Seefeld district was founded in 2001 by Line and Wolfram Schniepp. The bakery also offers a take-away area and a small café bar. The Backbar team consists of 14 employees in total.
 

The Backbar uses regional and organic raw materials wherever possible. The Backbar relies on the pillars of naturalness for its products. Therefore, no chemical additives are used. In the in-house bakery, fresh products are produced daily according to the bakery's own recipe.

A bakery with its own bakery has been located at the address of today's Backbar since the beginning of the 19th century. In 2005, the Backbar was renovated and extended.

The bakery bar offers a large selection of healthy breads. We bake with certified organic grain and flour. Specialties made from our own sourdough and spelt creations, which are processed into tasty breads and rolls using a long dough process. You will also find a wide range of products, from pretzels to raspberry tarts.
