What is neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback - also known as EEG biofeedback - is a scientifically recognized computer-based brain training method. It trains various brain functions such as concentration, memory, peak performance, creativity, relaxation etc. 
Neurofeedback is a gentle and effective restorative method for treating stress-related illnesses and functional disorders.
 
Scientific studies have shown that stress, strain, pain etc. change our brainwave patterns; as a result, chemical substances are released into the body that disturb the balance and lead to complaints. Neurofeedback is therefore basically suitable for everyone. Neurofeedback allows us to retune our brainwave patterns - sustainably and without side effects.
To determine the brainwaves, sensors are attached to the head and earlobes. The client sits relaxed in front of the screen and follows the graphic and acoustic display of the brainwaves.

• Biofeedback is a scientifically recognized, highly effective and non-invasive therapy and training method for visualizing and providing feedback on specific bodily functions (e.g. breathing, muscle tension, body temperature, pulse rate, skin resistance, etc.) that normally occur unconsciously and are important for recovery, well-being and performance. Using electronic devices and sensors, unconscious physiological functions are audiovisually reported back to the exerciser.

  PERSONAL

  Medicine has been with me since I was born. My father ran a general practice in our home together with my mother, so my siblings and I experienced the everyday life of a doctor first-hand. All topics relating to physical and mental health still interest me today. 
  Although I embarked on a career in education, in my work as a secondary school teacher I noticed the enormous influence that the mental and physical condition of students has on their performance and how much development potential still exists in these areas. Neurofeedback and biofeedback are two excellent training methods to optimize both the personal well-being and the performance of adolescents and adults.
  After a detailed and well-founded discussion, I will create an individually designed training program in combination with the objective test results, which we will carry out once or twice a week in my practice. 
  I am convinced that your well-being and performance will also improve and I look forward to welcoming you to Zollikerberg.

     

  During the biofeedback session, the trainee not only learns to consciously perceive these physiological processes, but also how they can specifically influence and stimulate these processes in their own body. Numerous controlled therapy studies have shown that biofeedback is a learning process through which patients can quickly gain voluntary self-control over their physiological system and then transfer this to everyday situations, even without a feedback device.
