Physiotherapy is concerned with identifying and maximizing a person's movement potential in acute or chronic conditions within the dimensions of prevention and health promotion, curation (treatment and healing), rehabilitation and palliation (relief), as well as treating any existing pain.

Body

The musculoskeletal system, the internal organ and vascular system and the neuromotor, sensory and psychological systems form the basis for physiotherapeutic examination and treatment techniques.

Age

Physiotherapy offers children and adolescents, people of working age and senior citizens solutions that can be used to treat and/or correct limitations and impairments of movement and functionality (due to illness/accident/behavioral errors) in a meaningful and function-oriented way. In doing so, physiotherapy refers to the definition of the World Health Organization (WHO), which defines health as a state of comprehensive physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Physiotherapy also includes the interaction process between physiotherapists and patients, clients, relatives or caregivers. During this process, movement potential is assessed and therapy goals are set together, using knowledge and skills that only physiotherapists have.
