What is physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is aimed at people with musculoskeletal problems caused by accidents, overexertion, or illness.
Physiotherapy can also make everyday life easier for patients with chronic complaints.
Physiotherapy also supports people with disabilities, helping them to maintain mobility and minimize any discomfort.
There are many different types of therapy. The goal of all types of therapy is to restore, maintain, or promote health, often with the aim of reducing or even eliminating pain.
Physiotherapy can also be used preventively to avoid acute complaints.
Our goal is for you to be able to go about your daily life without discomfort after completing physiotherapy.

Explanations of terms
A
Active therapies:
First and foremost, you improve your coordination. Once you have mastered this, you can train your fitness in our training room or with a home program. This allows you to integrate the correct movements into your sports and everyday life.
Endurance:
With our bikes, cross trainer, and treadmill, you can control fat burning, cardiovascular training, and interval training.
B
Mobility:
The latest findings show that movement is best trained within an active movement sequence. Movement only benefits you if you are able to actively control it. Conventional, static stretching also continues to play an important role in relaxation and maintaining flexibility.
Bobath:
Neurological treatment concept, for example for MS, stroke, traumatic brain injury, or Parkinson's disease.
E
First appointment:
Please bring your doctor's prescription, any X-ray or CT scan images, and your health insurance (card) or accident insurance details, including the claim or policy number. During this appointment, we will assess your symptoms and goals, so you do not need to bring any training clothes.
K
Coordination:
Good coordination is the basis of all postures and movements. Poor posture and unergonomic movements lead to incorrect strain, wear and tear, and ultimately pain. As physical therapists and movement specialists, we are committed to training and constantly monitoring your movement coordination in a way that is appropriate for everyday life and specific to your sport.
Strength:
Depending on the everyday stresses of work and sport, different types of strength are required. Strength training not only has a positive effect on your muscles, but also on your joints and bone density.
P
Passive therapies:
These include manual techniques: increased joint mobility, increased nerve gliding ability, and soft tissue release. Electrotherapy to reduce pain, increase blood circulation, and muscle activity. Heat packs for relaxation, promoting blood circulation, and improving muscle tone. Cold therapy to reduce pain sensitivity is also part of passive therapy.
