Having been tailored to the needs of blind and visually impaired people, our wide range of courses supports equal opportunities in education. People can learn new things, stay fit and healthy, and refresh their skills in a social setting. Our expert course leaders are sensitive to the various challenges of living with a visual impairment and deliver top-quality training. These courses offer more than just training in the traditional sense, though. They also help blind and visually impaired people to regain and retain their independence.

When you are losing your sight or have already lost your sight, you need to know that help is readily at hand. We are committed to helping blind and visually impaired people to live as independently as possible. We want to create an inclusive society in which blind and visually impaired people have a high quality of life. And we have been working on our mission every day since 1958 in our capacity as a charitable self-help organisation. We are on hand to support and advise visually impaired people and their families at our seven advice centres – at no cost and with no membership required. Our motto is “Looking ahead together”.
