The story of Olio Chiera – Since 1906 Olio Chiera was founded in 1906 by grandfather Francesco, who began producing olive oil in Campoli, in the municipality of Caulonia (RC), Calabria. With passion and dedication, he started a family tradition that has lasted over a century. In 1950, his sons Ciliberto and Orlando expanded the business by planting new olive groves in the towns of Stilo, Monasterace (RC), and Santa Caterina dello Ionio (CZ). During this time, a structured olive oil marketing operation was also established. In 1988, the third generation, Giuseppe and Armando, sons of Ciliberto, continued the family legacy by expanding production with new olive groves in Isca sullo Ionio and Sellia Marina. In 1990, the company also reached Puglia, first in the province of Taranto and then throughout the Salento area. Today, the Chiera brothers manage: • two modern olive oil mills • privately owned olive groves in Calabria and Puglia • operational facilities in Lombardy, near Lake Garda All our olive groves are Italian and family-owned, ensuring traceability, artisan quality, and the authentic value of Chiera extra virgin olive oil.
