Familycare Basel (formerly profawo Basel) is a specialist in balancing family and work, offering high-quality, individual and flexible services for the care of children and all other family members: daycare centers (Kitas), day kindergarten, nannies, emergency nannies, holiday camps, family counseling, relief services, events and courses. Founded as «Childcare Service Basel» in 2000 and known from 2013 to mid-2019 under the name "profawo Basel", we have now been operating completely independently and under the name Familycare Basel since July 1, 2019. The new name of our organization underlines our promise: to provide professional, high-quality and personal advice and support for the whole family, with a strong base in Basel and in North-West Switzerland. More than 80 residents have a home in the Gustav Benz House. There are 37 flats attached to the old people's and nursing home according to the assisted living concept. The tenants can make use of Spitex and housekeeping services if required. A residential care group for 10 residents suffering from dementia at Hammerstrasse 161 rounds off the range of services. Over 100 employees are committed to the well-being of our residents.

PRE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM PRE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM The Braswell Arts Pre-Professional Program is a year-round training and mentoring program offered by the Braswell Arts Association for dancers ages 13-21 who demonstrate exceptional potential for a dance career. The Braswell Arts Center is a proud partner school of the Basel Talents competitive sports promotion. The BAC, together with the education department of Basel-Stadt and Baselland, offers the most talented dancers the opportunity to continue their dance training at a professional level and at the same time to complete their formal academic training as part of the sports class. HOLIDAY ARTS CAMP Join us for an exciting week (or two) of multi-arts programs at the Braswell Arts Center. We offer full or half day camps for children from 6 years old. Artistic mentoring in music, art and dance with highly qualified teachers to inspire the next generation of young artists. DANCE WORKSHOPS The BAC workshops take place during the school holidays in Basel-Stadt, where we bring some of the best teachers from around the world to Basel! While our regular weekly classes are only available to our members, we believe it's important to share these amazing guest teachers and their unique teaching styles with the wider community. This means all of our workshops, pop-up classes and teaching assignments are open to the public! If you are interested in attending our courses but cannot come to us regularly and commit to membership, the BAC workshops are for you!
