SDIS Etraz-Région provides fire protection, rescue services, and emergency response for the Aubonne area and surrounding municipalities. The organization is made up of professional and volunteer firefighters, equipped to handle various incidents such as fires, accidents, and natural disasters. The Etraz Region Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS Etraz-Région) brings together the forces of several municipalities in the region, representing a large and diverse local population. Established as an inter-municipal association, SDIS Etraz-Région acts every day with dedication, professionalism, and proximity to ensure the safety of residents. Our organization is structured around: • First Response Units (DPS) located in Aubonne, Rolle, Gimel, and Bière • Support Units (DAP) in Longirod and Gilly, with specialized sections • An internal training school dedicated to initial and continuous firefighter training Comprehensive and rigorous training At SDIS Etraz-Région, training is a top priority: from respiratory equipment use to heavy vehicle driving, including fall protection, advanced technical exercises, and emergency vehicle operations, every firefighter receives thorough and progressive instruction. Gerade habe ich den Blockchain Kurs an der Benedict beendet. Unser Lehrer, Herr Altinok, war so wie man sich einen Lehrer wünscht, motiviert und gut vorbereitet. Viel Arbeitsmaterial wurde vorgelegt und auch als ich fehlte, wurde mir ein Dossier zusammengestellt. Klar war es nicht einfach nach einem langen Arbeitstag noch die Schulbank zu drücken, im Nachhinein muss ich aber sagen, es hat richtig Spass gemacht. Die Klasse war super, zudem hat es mich neu vernetzt. Mein Fazit; ich kann jedem einen Kurs an der Benedict empfehlen.

ECAP Winterthur was founded in 1970 and the first training courses took place in the metalworking and mechanical engineering sector. Training for welders was particularly in demand because the large industrial companies in Winterthur such as Sulzer, Loki, Rieter and Geilinger in particular needed these specialists. In response to the employment crisis in the 1980s and the wave of immigration from all over Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, the range of courses on offer has been continuously adapted and expanded to meet new needs. Today, the demand for further training of migrants focuses primarily on the acquisition of the German language. Computer science courses for beginners are also popular. Die Bénédict-Schule hat mir sehr viel beigebracht, vor allem habe ich mein Deutsch verbessert und viel viel neues gelernt. Ich bin nur drei Jahre in der Schweiz und damals dachte ich, dass das unheimlich schwer für mich wird, aber ich habe es geschafft und will noch weiter studieren. Bis bald!
