In the regional office in Aargau, more than 150 employees are involved in various projects and courses. The courses offered are primarily aimed at adult migrants. They are based on the latest methodological and didactic findings and adapted to the specific needs and realities of the participants. Our courses offer people with a migrant background access to continuing education and therefore to life in Switzerland. Our team is committed to helping our course participants with enthusiasm. ECAP Aargau offers a wide range of German language courses at various levels as well as integration and vocational training projects for foreign-language adults. An up-to-date overview of our training offer can be found in our course programme . ECAP has been active in French-speaking Switzerland since 2007. The first regional office was opened in Lausanne in 2009 thanks to the implementation of a project in cooperation with the UNIA Vaud Trade union. As a result of the development of our activities, a second seat was inaugurated in Vevey in 2010 and we have further developed our field of activity and our educational programme. ECAP Vaud currently offers courses in Lausanne, La Chaux-de-Fond, Le Sentier, Neuchâtel, Nyon, Vevey and Yverdon-les-Bains. ECAP Vaud is an active member of the Coordination romande pour la formation de base des adultes (CRFBA) and the Vaud platform of French courses as a foreign language. ECAP Vaud has also signed a cooperation agreement with UNIA Vaud. ECAP Vaud is involved in several European adult education projects. ECAP Vaud has a small team of 40 teachers, working with enthusiasm and professionalism in an informal working environment. We give great importance to the exchange of views and mutual respect. ECAP Vaud offers a large variety of language courses and professional development courses. Our programme is very wide and allows you to choose the right course according to your level or profession: • Intensive French A1- B1 courses • Midweek courses A1- B2 courses • French writing and conversation courses • Professional French courses in the cleaning, construction and landscaping industry • Galateo, professional French course in the hotel and catering sector • Progredir, advanced training courses for migrant women employed in the cleaning sector as well as in hotels or restaurants (a joint project in cooperation with Unia) • TREM, job application courses for migrants • Computer courses The courses are open to everybody. ECAP Winterthur was founded in 1970 and the first training courses took place in the metalworking and mechanical engineering sector. Training for welders was particularly in demand because the large industrial companies in Winterthur such as Sulzer, Loki, Rieter and Geilinger in particular needed these specialists. In response to the employment crisis in the 1980s and the wave of immigration from all over Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, the range of courses on offer has been continuously adapted and expanded to meet new needs. Today, the demand for further training of migrants focuses primarily on the acquisition of the German language. Computer science courses for beginners are also popular. We are proud to continue to make a significant contribution to the integration work of the City of Winterthur with our range of courses. ECAP Winterthur has many years of experience and competence in educational work and has over 70 qualified and well-trained employees. We promote the social and professional integration of migrants through targeted educational opportunities. An up-to-date overview of our training offer can be found in our course programme .
