About us Hintermann & Ruffini Ltd is a new venture, but based on a long-standing, successful past. The young company was founded in 2018 by Stefan Hintermann. He will continue the success story of Giacomazzi & Ruffini Ltd thanks to many years of experience in the timber industry and various further education courses. Giacomazzi & Ruffini Ltd was founded in 1988 in Moghegno by Dario Ruffini and is still a successful venture in carpentry and roofing. In 2002 the company moved to Avegno. The wood construction business has grown steadily in the new, generously sized workshop with office and was able to count a large number of architects and private customers among its customers. Since September 1st, 2018, Stefan Hintermann is responsible for the newly founded timber construction company carpentry Hintermann & Ruffini Ltd . An apprenticeship as a carpenter, many years of experience in the timber industry, several years of further training as a timber construction technician and construction management expert are the best prerequisites to continue the success story of Dario Ruffini. The O.ZBINDEN store, named by the fourth generation of watchmakers in this branch of the family, is established at the 17th of the rue du Mont-Blanc since 1942. Ernest Zbinden, watchmaker in the 1930’s, opened a first store at the top of the rue de Coutance. One of his sons, Raymond, did the same but at the rue du Mont-Blanc which at the time, and still now, represented the most important passage in Geneva. Other stores opened with the help of his son Yves in Geneva, Zermatt and Verbier. In the 80’s the decision was taken to concentrate all the business at the rue du Mont-Blanc and to later create the Golyt S.A. company in 1993. In the year 2000 Olivier, the fourth generation of watchmakers, joined the company and took over the presidency in 2013. Since it’s creation, the store has had three major transformations to attain it’s actual size.
