The Pet Porte cat door (cat flap) has been developed to give your pets easy access to the outside world and at the same time prevent other animals from entering your home. Unlike other cat flaps, your pet does not have to wear a collar or other cumbersome tags (which can be stressful and possibly even dangerous) to use the Pet Porte cat flap.
Advantages:
- Only your cat(s) gets access to the house
- Your cat cannot lose the transponder. You save money
- Foreign cats have no access, even if your neighbor has the same cat door
- A twilight sensor can lock the cat(s) in the house at night if desired
- With the "vet mode", it is also possible to deny the cat access during the day
- Suitable for glass and wood
- Battery operation in the event of a power failure
The Pet Porte Smart Flap is a natural evolution of the original Pet Porte microchip cat flap and allows your pets easy access to the outside world while preventing strange animals from entering the house. Unlike other cat flaps, your pet does not need to wear a collar or other Pet Porte accessories.
Smart Flap uses the same patented technology and reads the identification number of the microchip that veterinarians implant under the skin of animals. Each time your cat is under the canopy, the system will scan the identification number. If the number matches the programmed number for that cat, the shutter will open and allow that animal to enter. If the animal is not yet programmed, the number does not match, the flap will remain closed and prevent access to your home.
If you are not sure whether your cat has already been microchipped, ask your vet to check. Pet Porte Smart Flap is designed to read the most common type of microchip, the FDX-B; it does not recognize other microchips. If you are not sure which microchip your cat has, ask your vet or visit our homepage and try our microchip compatibility checker.
