Erhaltung und Förderung einer Bibliothek «Memory of the World». Die Stiftung wurde 1971 von Martin Bodmer gegründet. Sein Ziel war es, diese einmalige Bibliothek für die Nachwelt zu erhalten und sie einem breiteren Publikum zugänglich zu machen. Sein ganzes Leben lang hat Martin Bodmer seine Sammlung zusammengestellt. Sie besteht aus Tausenden von aussergewöhnlichen Dokumenten, darunter Hunderte von Papyri, mittelalterliche Handschriften aus West und Ost, Autographenblätter, Inkunabeln, Erstausgaben, seltene Stiche und wertvolle Zeichnungen. Sie vereinen die grössten Texte der Weltliteratur und der Geschichte der Menschheit. Die Bibliotheca Bodmeriana gehört zweifelsohne zu den schönsten und wichtigsten Privatsammlungen der Welt und wurde 2015 in das internationale Register des Weltdokumentenerbes («Memory of the World») der UNESCO aufgenommen. Um der doppelten Aufgabe um Erhaltung und Vermittlung der Sammlung gerecht zu werden, verfügt die Stiftung heute über eigene Restaurierungsateliers und digitalisiert grosse Teile der Sammlung. Ausserdem zeigt das Museum in seinen Ausstellungsräumen neben der Dauerausstellung auch herausragende Sonderausstellungen.

International Registries, Inc. and its affiliates (IRI) provide administrative and technical support to the Republic of the Marshall Islands(RMI) Maritime and Corporate Registries. IRI has been administering maritime and corporate programs since 1948. The RMI Registry is the third largest registry in the world, surpassing 106 million gross tons in June 2014. The RMI has been included on the United States Coast Guard' s Qualship 21 roster for the tenth consecutive year and continues to be included on the White lists of both the Paris and Tokyo Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). In addition, the RMI meets the flag criteria for a low risk ship under the Paris MoU New Inspection Regime.
