On November 1, 2001, the largest and most unique shopping center in northwestern Switzerland was opened - with a total of 33 stores and service outlets. And that was by no means all: in November 2007, the St. Jakob-Park shopping center was expanded to include a further 13 stores and a Manora restaurant.

The St. Jakob-Park shopping center is ideally located with direct access to the city center. Less than three kilometers from the city center to the southeast and two kilometers from the SBB train station to the east. The St. Jakob-Park shopping center is also extremely well known thanks to the integrated football stadium. Because that is also what Basel is for Switzerland: the football city par excellence.
