On November 1, 2001, the largest and most unique shopping center in northwestern Switzerland opened its doors, with a total of 33 stores and service providers. And that was not all: in November 2007, the St. Jakob-Park Shopping Center was expanded to include 13 additional stores and a Manora restaurant.

The St. Jakob-Park shopping center is directly connected to the city center and ideally located. It is less than three kilometers southeast of the city center and two kilometers east of the SBB train station. In addition, the St. Jakob-Park shopping center enjoys an exceptionally high profile thanks to its integrated soccer stadium. Because that's what Basel is to Switzerland: the soccer city par excellence.
