physio5 was founded in April 2003. Through years of working with our patients and thanks to the cooperation with many doctors and specialists, a therapy network has developed over the years.

From the very beginning, our philosophy was to offer patients a holistic range of therapies in one place. Encouraged by the high demand, we did not hesitate for long in mid 2006 when we were offered the opportunity to double our space at our Fischermätteli location. This conversion enabled us to generously expand the physiotherapy area and the existing fitness facilities. This was also the birth of fitness5, a small but excellent "medical fitness" with around 500 subscribers.

In an effort to save patients long journeys, additional physio5 branches were opened in 2008 in the Wankdorf stadium and in 2012 in Monbijou.

In order to meet the needs of an ever-increasing number of patients with back complaints, we opened the back diagnostics department in January 2013, where we can precisely localize and treat the causes of complaints, from the lumbar to the cervical vertebrae, using 6 computer-controlled diagnostic devices.

When the entire first floor at the Fischermätteli location became available in winter 2019, we didn't hesitate for long and rented the additional 650 m2 to provide the massage, Pilates and back diagnostics areas with a much more generous amount of space. A large dining, lounge and training room was also created.

In the summer of 2020, the Worb GP practice approached us with a request to set up a physiotherapy service in their property. We were very happy to comply with this request and we are delighted to have a branch on the outskirts of Bern, in beautiful Worb.

However, the same principles of comprehensive and responsible care still apply to us as they did when we were founded in 2003.
