Examination

The precise diagnosis of venous disorders is carried out using duplex sonography (ultrasound). This allows the entire course of all veins and any pathological reflux to be documented.

Endovenous procedures

A laser catheter is used to destroy diseased sections of veins using heat. The procedure is virtually painless and can be performed on an outpatient basis. Since January 1, 2016, the costs of treatment have been covered by basic health insurance.

Visible veins are removed under local anesthesia using a small hook. The treatment can be performed on an outpatient basis. This therapy is often combined with laser treatment.
