Description
Many people want to live at home in their familiar surroundings for as long as possible despite illness, disability or declining strength. The non-profit organization Spitex offers professional support for this, i.e. home care.
We work in a client-oriented manner and improve our professionalism and quality of work through continuous training and further education.
Our services are available to the following people- The elderly, injured, ill, convalescing, disabled and dying people
- People who are in a physical, psychological and/or social crisis or risk situation
- Pregnant mothers before or after giving birth
- Relatives of people in need of care to relieve them in their work

All residents of the affiliated municipalities of Ingenbohl, Morschach, Riemenstalden, Schwyz, Steinen and Steinerberg who need temporary or permanent help, care or support are entitled to Spitex services.
Our qualified specialist staff will provide nursing and medical care in your home in collaboration with your family doctor. Depending on your needs, SRC nursing assistants, healthcare professionals, qualified nurses and/or home nurses can provide care.
Our services
The Spitex employees take on the following tasks on behalf of or in addition to others in accordance with the principle of helping people to help themselves:
- Assessment and advice
- Basic care: assistance with personal hygiene, showering and bathing, dressing and undressing, mobilization or repositioning
- Treatment care: Wound treatment, administering medication, injections and infusions, measuring vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, etc.) and enemas as prescribed by a doctor
- Ambulant psychiatric care (APP): Supporting and promoting the client's personal responsibility through discussions, developing a daily structure, carrying out household training, developing and implementing coping strategies, support with medication management, etc.
- Care and support for seriously ill and dying people
Home care services
Home carers and SRC care assistants support and relieve families and individuals in the household if they can no longer manage it independently for health reasons.
Our services
- Independent household management, relief in the household, guidance and assistance with household management
- Cleaning, laundry, ironing and folding, shopping, cooking, etc.
- Relief for caring and nursing relatives
- A needs assessment is part of every new assignment and is subject to a charge. Based on this assessment, we obtain a medical certificate .
- If a corresponding supplementary insurance policy has been taken out with the health insurance company, part of the costs will be reimbursed to the client (please enquire with your insurance company). Our assignments do not include house clearance, repairs to appliances and equipment, gardening or pet care.

- Support with medication management
- Assistance in crisis situations
- Relief and advice for family caregivers
- Basic care (assistance with personal hygiene)

- Collaboration with specialist agencies
- Support for medical treatment
- Support in the new role as mother and father
- Assistance with questions about breastfeeding
- Advice on matters relating to the care, nutrition and development of the child
- Advice on how to prevent illnesses and accidents
- Enabling contact with other mothers and fathers
- Explanation and explanation of other services (e.g. other advice centers)
- We are subject to professional secrecy and are obliged to maintain confidentiality
Outpatient psychiatric care
Our qualified psychiatric nurses support people with mental health problems in their familiar surroundings
.By working together with internal and external specialists from various professional and specialist groups, the outpatient psychiatric care team enables people to live with the greatest possible independence and quality of life.

Everyday family life with small children is beautiful but also demanding. We enjoy advising and supporting parents individually in their task.
Our services
Maternity and paternity counseling is provided by the Spitex Region Schwyz association on behalf of the municipalities of Gersau, Illgau, Ingenbohl, Morschach, Muotathal, Schwyz, Steinen, Steinerberg and Riemenstalden.
A one-off registration fee of CHF 30 is charged. Our advice centers are available to all parents without prior appointment.
