Milan Metall – Contacts & Location
Description
I was born on October 24, 1978 in Zug and grew up in Rifferswil in the Säuliamt. After attending the Rudolf Steiner School in Baar, I completed a four-year apprenticeship as a metalworker at the Häberling smithy in Uerzlikon. It was during this time that I became fascinated by traditional blacksmithing techniques, which I learned while faithfully restoring antique objects. I have never let go of this enthusiasm and today it benefits various custom-made products. Before becoming self-employed, I worked in various other companies in the metal industry to deepen my knowledge of the craft. These included the metal workshop at Zurich Opera House, the Affaire metal workshop in Zurich and the Sonderegger metalworking shop in Frasnacht TG.
I have been self-employed since 2004, spending a year working at various jobs in southern Africa. I am married and father of three girls. I have lived and worked in Stäfa on Lake Zurich since 2015/16.
