Carouge administrative services

In order to meet the needs of the Carouge population, the administration has eight departments. These are supplemented by the General Secretariat and the Municipal Police.

Built in the 18th century on the orders of the King of Sardinia to compete with Geneva, today the Ville de Carouge is a charming city where life is good and offering a multitude of modern, efficient and accessible services for all and sundry. With its shady squares and magnificent fountains, its restaurants and cafés, its shops and boutiques selling fashion and antiques, its craftsmen, industrialists and businesses and its Wednesday and Saturday morning markets on the Place du Marché, Carouge is known far beyond the borders of Geneva and Switzerland for its charm and dynamism.
