Carouge Museum
Exhibitions, guided tours, and activities await you at the Carouge Museum
The museum is only open during temporary exhibitions, Tuesday through Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free for all temporary exhibitions.
Since its foundation, the museum has been housed in a typical town house with a rear garden, built for a watchmaker named Demontanrouge in 1789, when Carouge was part of the Duchy of Savoy (Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia). The museum is mainly dedicated to preserving Carouge's heritage and organizing temporary exhibitions related to local life. It regularly participates in various events organized in Carouge (Printemps Carougeois, Vogue).
