Le Dhaba

The concept

 Dhaba takes its name from the roadside restaurants scattered along Indian highways. The first Dhabas appeared next to gas stations, offering fresh food to truck drivers making long journeys across the country. Today, they are increasingly popular and frequented by anyone looking for quick, quality meals. Our version of the Dhaba is a restaurant designed for modern life. We offer fresh dishes of the day, served in overflowing bowls bursting with Indian flavors. Forget the hustle and bustle of formal dining, this is simply healthy food prepared with lots of love.

 

Our story

 Ash Khosla, owner and head chef at Dhaba, spent the first part of his career working as an accountant before switching to what he has always loved doing: cooking. 

Cooking has always played an important role in Ash's life. He spent summers with his aunt, a British foodie, and brought his love of well-made dishes back to his family in Geneva, where cooking became the heart of their home. As a father, Ash continues the tradition, feeding his young daughters the Indian specialties he learned from his mother. And he entertains his friends by serving them some of the best food in town.

As Ash's passion project increasingly became his vocation, he decided to open Le Dhaba in 2020. For Ash, the restaurant is an outlet for his favorite pastime, an expression of his Indian heritage, and an opportunity to serve new and old friends alike.

Guided by the belief that customers deserve the best hospitality at a reasonable price, he has created an authentic, unpretentious atmosphere where he recreates family recipes and invites everyone to experience his joy of hosting.
