Philippe Stern's passion for timepieces led to the inauguration in 2001 of a veritable "temple of watchmaking": the Patek Philippe Museum.

Housed in a fully restored Art Deco building in Geneva's Plainpalais district, this museum presents over five centuries of watchmaking art articulated in two sections: the extraordinary antique collection since the 16th century, which includes the first watch ever built, and the Patek Philippe collection since 1839.

The latter reflects over 170 years of making the world's finest watches, including the most complicated timepiece ever built, the Calibre 89. This fabulous museum is the logical culmination of a legacy of genius.
