Museum of Art and History
A few minutes' walk from the cathedral, the Museum of Art and History (MAH) is located in the heart of the Old Town. Dating back to 1910, the building was designed by architect Marc Camoletti. The MAH is one of the largest museums in Switzerland. With some 650,000 objects, including major creations and unique series, it displays part of its collections devoted to applied arts, fine arts, and archaeology over five floors. Each year, the museum hosts two major exhibitions featuring the collection and numerous presentations on a variety of themes. This building is the heart of the MAH, which also includes the Maison Tavel and the Rath Museum.
