Professor Daniel LEW
Daniel LEW is a clinical physician specializing in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine
.He sees patients at the Cabinet Médicale Florimed alone or in multidisciplinary consultations
He is Honorary Professor of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva and Member of the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences
He studied Medicine and specialized in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the Hôpital Cantonal de Genève
And then at Massachussetts General Hospital , Harvard Médicale School
He was Chief Physician of the Infectious Diseases Service at Geneva University Hospitals for 27 years ( 1986-2013) and Head of the Department of Medicine (2011-2013). He chaired the HUG Clinical Ethics Council and headed the Clinical Section of the Faculty of Medicine
.He has been President of the Swiss Society of Infectious Diseases , The Swiss Academy for Education in Infectious Diseases. And the International Society of Infectious Diseases
He has received multiple awards and research grants (FNRS, Industry) participated in multiple international conferences
He has published hundreds of papers in journals with editorial policy in the fields of bacterial pathogenesis, on the functioning of neutrophils and
in the fields of osteomyelitis and foreign body infections (orthopedic prostheses and others).
