Le Temps Présent

Our institution is a short-stay home and day center for elderly people.

We offer professional medical and social care with the aim of helping residents return home.

Our day center welcomes elderly people living at home who want to break their isolation and find support in their daily lives.

We have 19 single rooms and 8 double rooms dedicated to short-term geriatric care, as well as facilities suitable for accommodating 11 people in geriatric day care.

LOCATION

Le Temps Présent is located in the heart of La Chaux-de-Fonds and is easily accessible.

The facility can be reached by car and bus (line 301 Arêtes – Gare – Recorne, "Etoile" stop).

A parking space is available for people with reduced mobility. Three "15-minute" parking spaces in front of the entrance make it easier to accompany people.

MISSION

The State has entrusted Home Le Temps Présent with the following specific missions:

Short-term geriatric care

To provide temporary accommodation for elderly people living at home who require care after a hospital stay or following an unforeseen event at home, or whose caregiver needs a break. Care, therapeutic, social support, and sociocultural activities are provided by professionals and tailored to each individual situation. They are mainly focused on returning home. Accommodation is limited in time depending on the purpose of the stay.

Geriatric day care

Providing care, therapeutic, and socio-cultural activities to elderly people who suffer from functional dependencies and/or mild to severe cognitive disorders. These services are provided by professionals and tailored to each individual situation. They are provided during the day only, on a temporary or regular basis. They help to alleviate functional or cognitive difficulties by strengthening the autonomy of the person receiving care. The aim is also to provide respite for family caregivers.
