Café de l'Hôtel-de-Ville

The Café de l'Hôtel-de-Ville in Lausanne is a small historic bistro located in the heart of the old town on Place de la Palud. Run by Marie and Vanessa since 1996, this restaurant offers vegetarian, local, and seasonal cuisine.

Also a café-gallery, in a wooded setting, you can discover Marie's paintings.

Every day at lunchtime, Marie's Plate, always vegetarian, adaptable for vegans, sprinkled with small seeds and other cold-pressed oils. You will also find the famous warm goat cheese salad on toast with honey and roasted sesame seeds, as well as many other mixed salads. On Saturdays, we also offer a menu of pizzas and bagels. To accompany your meal, we offer a now classic drink made with fresh ginger and hibiscus, a wide selection of teas, freshly roasted coffee from Valais, apple juice from the market, lemonades, and other cappuccinos made with oat milk.

On sunny days, you can enjoy your meal in the sunshine at one of the tables in front of the restaurant. Reservations are recommended, especially on market days, Saturdays and Wednesdays.
