Philosophy:
As a practice for family dentistry, we focus on a comprehensive range of medical services for our patients. A broad range of treatments and good cooperation within our own team and with other doctors form our basis. This allows us to take into account the interplay of the many factors that affect the health of your mouth and teeth and thus play our part in maintaining your health.
Through comprehensive, ongoing training and a critical approach and selection of treatment methods, we can

offer you a high-quality service in all areas of dentistry. Modern treatment devices such as lasers, intraoral cameras, root canal treatment devices and much more are part of our standard equipment.
Together with you, we want to assess your current diagnostic situation, identify treatment options and discuss their advantages and disadvantages in order to put together a plan to solve your problems as required. In all treatment strategies, we recognize the quality guidelines of the Swiss Dental Association (SSO).
In our functional yet pleasantly designed rooms, you will feel comfortable and experience a trusting and familiar treatment atmosphere.

Examination and diagnosis:

At the beginning of every treatment, we take a detailed medical history - your previous medical history.
Here, you tell us about your previous history and the current state of your general complaints as well as your current problems in the dental, oral and maxillofacial system. We will use our supplementary questions to complete the overall picture.
The next step is an examination of the outer head and its musculature before a thorough inspection of the mucous membranes, floor of the mouth and throat as well as the teeth and periodontium is carried out.
For this, we can use additional examination methods such as X-rays, cold tests, pocket depth measurements, laboratory tests (biopsy, saliva test) etc. to complete and round off the findings.

Treatments:

We create a comprehensible treatment plan with alternatives for you individually. We attach great importance to transparency. This means that we present you with viable alternative plans to the proposed treatment plan, into which we incorporate all our knowledge for your benefit. The costs incurred by you are very important, and we will also discuss these alternatives with you in detail.
We will work with you to develop a treatment plan based on your state of health, your requirements, your wishes and your financial means. The decision on treatment and scheduling always remains with you.
In all treatments, the preservation of your teeth and you as a person are our top priority.

Treatment methods:

Filling therapy:

Low to moderately damaged teeth can be restored with the help of aesthetic tooth-colored resin fillings. These consist of inorganic glass particles surrounded by an organic matrix containing plastic. Aesthetically even higher-quality and longer-lasting, but more expensive, ceramic fillings (produced in the laboratory) are also possible.

Amalgam removal:

Under routine protective measures (impermeable rubber foil, special suction systems), the silvery fillings are removed and replaced with white plastic fillings. In rare cases, it may also be necessary to remove heavy metals from the body. This can be done with the help of vitamins and trace elements or with biological substances (Chlorella pyrenoidosa).

Root treatments:

In the case of very deeply damaged teeth or painful, inflamed dental nerves, root canal treatment is the last option for preserving a tooth. The infected nerve tissue is removed from the root canal and treated with a root canal filling, which is carried out under conditions that are as sterile as possible. Only then can the tooth be rebuilt.

Aesthetic corrections of tooth color and shape:

It is now possible to whiten teeth (bleaching). This can be done either in one session in the dental practice (in-office bleaching) or in several sessions at home (home bleaching). We will be happy to advise you on the procedures as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each method. The need for beautiful white teeth has increased in recent years. We are also responding to this demand. Teeth that sometimes need to have their shape improved are corrected using ceramic veneers or ceramic crowns (see modern prosthetics).

Modern prosthetics:

A distinction is made between removable dentures (prostheses) and non-removable dentures (crowns, bridges), which are permanently cemented. In the case of crowns and bridges, the dentures are either made of ceramic alone or of a metal framework onto which ceramic is fired.
Tooth shape and color corrections of your own teeth can be changed using thin ceramic shells (veneers); minimally invasive beautification of your own teeth.

Oral surgery:

Oral surgery includes all outpatient oral surgical procedures such as tooth extractions, complicated operations on impacted teeth, root tip resections, abscess or cyst operations, plastic corrections to bone and soft tissue, traumatology and implantology.

Implantology:

With the help of the proven titanium screw system SPI® (Swiss Precision Implant, Thommen Medical, Grenchen, Switzerland), a replacement root is inserted into the bone, which serves as an anchoring option. Depending on requirements, a crown, bridge or other fastening element for prostheses can be fixed to it.

Parodontology:

Diagnosis and treatment of gum disease (gingivitis) or gum disease in which the bone is also affected (periodontitis)

Prophylaxis/dental hygiene:

Proper oral hygiene is ensured with professional diagnostics, advice, tooth cleaning and patient support.

Treatment of anxious patients:

We strive for a stress-reduced treatment situation through an intensive anxiety reduction program.

Children's dentistry and school dentistry:

Includes regular, prophylactic monitoring of oral hygiene with nutrition and brushing instructions for our young patients through to treatment such as sealants, milk tooth fillings, milk tooth amputations, tooth extractions and space maintainers, white fillings in permanent teeth, root canal treatments, dental accidents and the production of customized sports mouthguards.
