Implantology
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are inserted into the jawbone to replace lost teeth or to anchor prosthetic work. Basically, they are screwed into the jawbone via their thread and bond with the bone within 3-6 months. The implants are mainly made of titanium, although more and more ceramic implants have been introduced to the market recently. However, the success rates of approx. 97% and scientific studies are almost all based on titanium implants. However, there are a few important things to consider before placing an implant.
Is there enough bone to anchor the implant?
--> X-ray necessary / possibly bone augmentation / precise measurement of the X-ray image and possibly a DVT (digital volume tomography)
Can the prosthetics also be realized?
It is absolutely necessary to carry out precise protethic planning. The position of the implant depends on the planned prosthetics.
Treatment under general anesthesia or sedation
We also offer dental treatment under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Treatment under intubation anesthesia, which is carried out by our experienced anesthetists, ensures stress- and anxiety-free treatment for our patients.
This includes the following oral surgery procedures:
- Dental implantology
- Tooth extractions and surgical removal of impacted and displaced wisdom teeth
- Root tip resections
- Cyst operations
- Exposure of displaced teeth
- Cavity operations
- Sometimes useful and also necessary in the treatment of children who are unwilling to undergo treatment and disabled patients
- Total rehabilitation for anxious patients (patients with panic attacks)
Support for nursing homes and home visits
We also offer you the possibility of treatment at your home if patient transportation is not possible
We have a transportable dental unit at our disposal
.Please contact us.
Endodontology
This refers to tooth preservation with therapeutic treatment of the dental pulp (nerve). Endodontology plays an important role in modern tooth preservation. While painful and decayed teeth were removed in the past, many teeth can now be saved through root canal treatment with the help of modern treatment methods.
These teeth can then be used again as pillars for fixed dentures or as anchoring aids for removable dentures. The aim of root canal treatment is to remove the inflamed nerve tissue, disinfect the canal cavity and hermetically fill the canal lumen using gutta-percha posts.
Causes of inflammation can be:
- Caries
- Accidents, trauma
- Chemical stimuli
- Functional overload (CMD)
Whitening

Aesthetic dentistry
Health, including dental health, is our greatest asset.
But we attach just as much importance to our appearance. It helps our self-confidence and our well-being. Our face is probably the most important component of good looks and natural charisma. An attractive smile can be decisive for the overall impression we make on others.
Today, modern dentistry has many different options available to optimize the color, shape & position of your teeth. Bleaching, ceramic crowns, inlays & fillings, professional teeth cleaning and veneers are just some of these options.
Cranio-mandibular dysfunction (CMD)
Chronic pain seems to have become a typical feature of our modern civilization. Countless people suffer from persistent or frequently recurring headaches, back pain, unexplained toothache or other painful impairments.
Hectic, time pressure and stress not only affect the stomach, but often also the teeth, chewing, neck and shoulder muscles. Accumulated tension is released with the help of the chewing muscles. The muscles become tense, teeth ache, the jaw joints crack or hurt.

The Wand Plus
The Wand Plus has been specially developed to prevent problems that occur when injecting with a conventional hand syringe. The handpiece (The Wand) is held like a probe (pencil grip). With the help of a microprocessor, the anesthetic is applied extremely gently (1 drop per 2 seconds) and allows for virtually imperceptible anesthesia.
BleachingWhy do teeth become discolored?
Some teeth are naturally more pigmented or become discolored during tooth development.
Internal stains and discoloration can be caused by medication, high fluoride concentrations or injury.
Exposure to coffee, tea, some beverages or smoking products also lead to dark teeth over the years.
How does Opalescence or Zoom (bleaching) remove the discoloration?
The patented whitening systems remove most discolorations gently and long-lastingly through oxidation processes. Opalescence and Zoombleaching, unlike crowns or veneers, offer a non-invasive improvement in tooth color. Experience and research results show that significant tooth whitening is achieved in most patients.
How does periodontitis develop?"Periodontitis" or "tooth loosening" is a widespread disease of the periodontium that affects over 10 percent of the world's population. Periodontitis is caused by bacteria that accumulate in the space where the tooth and gum meet. If these bacteria are not removed by regular and thorough tooth brushing, this leads to inflammation of the gums, also known as "gingivitis".
The inflamed area is red, swollen and bleeds when touched. If the bacterial layer is not removed, it calcifies and so-called "tartar" forms. Tartar has a rough surface and therefore provides ideal conditions for the growth of bacteria. If the inflammation caused by bacterial infection remains untreated for a long time, the fibers that anchor the teeth to the bone are destroyed.
This results in bone resorption (periodontitis), which can lead to the loss of one or more teeth. How does Emdogain gel work?
The natural tooth anchorage consists of the so-called "tooth cement", from which tiny fibers radiate, thus anchoring the tooth in the jawbone. Emdogain gel leads to the restoration of dental cement, fibers and jawbone and thus offers you the opportunity to keep your own teeth. When Emdogain gel is used, the protein that gave rise to the periodontium is applied to the surface of the tooth root. This time, however, it is used to restore the natural tooth anchorage.
What is meant by craniomandibular dysfunction?CMD - CranioMandibular Dysfunction - "Wrong Bite"
CMD is the term used to describe a dysfunctional interaction between the teeth of the upper and lower jaw and the resulting incorrect bite position. The result is an unphysiological position of the jaw joints and an unnaturally high strain on the surrounding muscles.
Pain in the teeth, jaw joints, face, head or neck area, as well as tension and pain in other parts of the musculoskeletal system, can often be attributed to CMD.
Even the smallest changes to the chewing apparatus can lead to significant joint dysfunction. This is understandable when you consider that each person's masticatory center experiences a masticatory force of up to 400-800 N due to nightly clenching and grinding lasting approx. 15-20 minutes.
