Born into a family of winegrowers, David Rossier followed in their footsteps, studying agriculture at the Ecole cantonale de Châteauneuf (VS), then oenology at the Ecole supérieure de Changins (VD). In 1999, he took over the estate from André Bonvin, whose father Henri had helped to raise the profile of certain Valais specialties, notably Humagne. In 1999, he took over the estate from André Bonvin, whose father Henri had helped to raise the profile of certain Valais specialties, notably Humagne.
David Rossier today works 5 hectares located in Leytron, but also in the neighboring communes of Chamoson and Saillon. All thevarieties are vinified pure, and some of them are blended to give a type of wine that is totally different from the pure variety. Its wide range - 25 wines marketed - highlights Valais specialities through avinification aimed at exalting the typicity of the grape varieties...
