The practice was established in Mendrisio, on Via Motta, back in 1939 by Dr. Carlo Bächtold, a medical dentist. It later moved to a more modern and spacious practice at 21 Via Lavizzari in Mendrisio.

Over the years the practice was consolidated, and in 1974 he began working with his son, Dr. medico dentist Enrico Bächtold, who later took over the practice.

In 2010, Dr. Alessandro Perucchi joined the team as a dental physician assistant. Two years later he took over the practice and became its owner. Conteporately, Dr. Enrico Bächtold communicates his decision to leave the practice to devote himself to his hobbies.
