Description
Andrea Fecit
Who am I
Good morning everyone, my name is Andrea, I reside in Mendrisio, physiotherapist since 1996.
Over the years, I have delved into specific topics in order to acquire the necessary tools with the goal of improving the quality of life of people, who need an intervention in the rehabilitation field.
Experience has also taught me, that the best results can be achieved when the patient shows motivation, actively participating in the therapeutic process by changing habits and getting involved.
Recognized by all health insurance companies, I also receive privately, by appointment, at the Colonne office at 1 Largo Mario Soldini Street, 6850 Mendrisio.
Possibility of home therapy in the Mendrisiotto area.
In both areas I make myself available for physiotherapy evaluations, of aids/personal aids, of
home/work environments.

Main Specialties
Manual Therapy according to the Kaltenborn-Evjent OMT (Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy) concept
Orthopedic Manual Therapy is a specialization in physical therapy for the comprehensive and conservative management of pain and other symptoms caused by neuromuscular-articular dysfunction from the spine and limbs. The main goal of OMT is to restore pain-free, maximal function of the neuro-muscular-articular system (IFOMT 2006) in a postural balance.
The Raggi Method® "Global Approach Postural Rebalancing"
.This method is based on a thorough patient history, aimed at highlighting all traumatic events of a physical and or psychological nature, which over time have disrupted the postural balance giving rise to painful symptoms.
Where pain (symptom) is present, there is not necessarily the cause of the problem.

Graston technique®
It is an instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization technique, based on scientific evidence, that works effectively on scar tissue and fascial restrictions.
Specially designed stainless steel instruments are used in conjunction with therapeutic exercise.
NMT ISTITUTE NeuroMuscular Taping
Non-invasive and non-pharmacological technique that, through the application of an adhesive and elastic tape , provides mechanical stimulation that can create space between tissues, promote cellular metabolism, activate the body's natural healing capabilities, and normalize neuromuscular proprioception.
GLA:D®
An acronym for Good Life OsteoArthris in Denmark, it has been an active program since 2013 and consists of 3 parts:
<<counseling and education>>, <<<exercises>> and <<> quality control>> through a data collection.
The goal of GLA:D is to implement quality-controlled international best practice recommendations into clinical practice to promote good quality of life for people with hip and knee osteoarthritis.
Drainage
It is a manual technique designed to promote the drainage of lymphatic fluids from the tissues, resulting in the elimination of various toxins that have accumulated there.
Through a gentle pressure movement on the skin, this type of maneuver stimulates the reabsorption of edema, regulates the neurovegetative system, and promotes the repair of wounds or other irritations.
Disorders of swallowing (Dysphagia)
Dysphagia refers to the difficulty of the passages of food and drink, drugs, from the mouth to the stomach.
It is often caused by a disorder, syndrome, or disease, affecting the nerves or muscles of the tongue, mouth, or throat, leading to difficulty in coordination and/or control of swallowing.
